Egoista is powered by V10 engine a 5,2 liter with 600 hp, so lamborghini
Egoista is a purposely extreme and unusual vehicle with really unique characteristics,
made by Group design team of Volkswagen, especially Alessandro Dambrosio
responsible for exterior egoista and Stefan Sielaff for the interior. De
Silva's team opted to make a single seat, pushing all the characteristics in
the Lamborghini make-up which means the enjoyment of driving, appearance, and
pure style beyond their limits. The cockpit, designed like a tailor-made suit
for the driver, is a removable piece which, after being combined with the rest
of the vehicle, creates a perfect technical, mechanical, and aerodynamic unit. The
inspiration is, according to tradition of Lamborghini, always comes from the world
of aviation, especially from the Apache helicopter, where the cockpit can be
issued in an emergency.
The design
The exterior is characterized by two fundamental aspects: the architecture, and
the materials used. The design is determined by a very muscular structure,
where the empty and dense areas match the strength and strength. Bodywork is
dominated, on its side, by a bull-style profile preparing to fill, its horns
lowered. The male cow is driving toward the front wheels, giving the dynamics
and futuristic lines that are already, in itself, very aggressive. Of course,
this is a tribute, a bold style quote that can only be a reworking Lamborghini brand
icon, the famous bull. The challenge of incorporating the Lamborghini symbol
efficiently as an integral part of the bodywork is greeted with courage and
artistry. The plan view reveals a trimaran profile, in which the central hull
forms a unique part with the cockpit, and on the front hood underlined by a
carbon fiber cover.
The top
of this egoista does not have aerodynamic appendages, but the flaps are
integrated in the bodywork profile which on automatically depending on the conditions
of the driver. Two flaps in the front are activated automatically at high speed
to improve stability, while a series of air intakes at the rear of the bonnet
provide coolant airflow to a powerful V10 power plant.
Interior
Cockpit interior is very rational, its function is brought to the extreme. There are racing seats with four-point seat belts, each strip of different colors, airbags, and minimal instruments. The focal point of this is the head-up screen, typical of jet fighters. To get out of the vehicle, the driver should take off the steering wheel and place it on the dashboard, open the dome with electronic commands, stand in their seats, sit at the right point of the left bodywork, then turn their feet 180 degrees from the inside of the cockpit to the outside of the vehicle.
